PAST TRAINING

SpOT 2021

Thank you to all officers, advisors and general members that attended our annual training on Saturday May 22nd! We appreciate your commitment to CKI and to bettering your community. Before reading on to the resources, the feedback form for SpOT 2021 can be filled out here.

We wanted to make sure the resources that we used for the training materials are accessible to everyone. There are a few sections below which are separated by positions and the resources used. Probably the biggest, over-arching resource on this page is listed under Presidents and Vice-Presidents. It is the “Club Officer Guide 2020”. It is a 40+ page document that goes over all things Club Officers.

Presidents and Vice-Presidents:
The first link is the presentation used during the training. The attachments after it are the various International resources that were used to create the presentation.

While Spring Officers Training (SpOT) works on training new Circle K officers, it is a great event for any member. Our main goal is to help you all be the best you can be, and help your clubs through developing your skills and leadership.

SpOT is also our first event for the 2022-2023 service year, so it serves as a great opportunity to see all your fellow Circle K members before heading off for the summer and prepare for the new year. While we will work with you all as a group, the event also takes time to focus on each club, as we offer you time to see how your club is doing and what you can continue to improve upon.

 Event Schedule
From 9am-10:30am, we will go over brief details for the day and then go into breakout rooms based on positions: Presidents & Vice Presidents, Secretaries & Treasurers, Bulletin Editors & Public Relation Officers, and other positions & members.

From 10:30 am-12 pm, we will work on strategic planning and make plans not only for this year but building a base for goals for the coming years as well.

This upcoming weekend is our Spring Officer Training event! The District Board is very excited to offer training to all of our club officers completely online this weekend. Below are some important details about the event for both club members and club officers.

Event Details

We ask that all club officers attend the Club Officer Trainings and general sessions. However, if you do not hold a specific position during a specific officer’s training, you are still welcome to attend! The agenda lists specific times for each office.

Our continued education sessions were designed specifically from requests submitted by the club officers in the District. There will be five sessions as indicated on the schedule below. After those sessions, Governor Morton will introduce the club goal setting session, followed by a break.

During our fellowship hour each night, we will be playing some Jackbox Games and hopefully having some fun getting to know each other!

On Sunday, the District Board will have a board meeting from 1-4 p.m. The agenda for that meeting is available here. We will be discussing many topics, including the district goals. This is not required for anyone to attend other than the District Board, but all club officers, members, and advisors are welcome to attend.

Joining The Event

In order to join the event, please click here. If you are asked to enter a password, it is “service” in all lowercase letters. This link should be used for every session other than the club goal-setting session. Goal-setting sessions should be handled by each club’s officers.

During the evening session, each club is asked to have an online officer meeting and set club goals for the year. The time and method you choose to meet is up to your club officers. Some suggestions include Zoom, Google Hangouts, Skype, and freeconferencecall.com. The District Board will be available during this time to help any club that needs assistance. More information will be shared about this session during the introduction to goal setting session.

If you have not filled out the officer RSVP form, please contact us here.

Schedule

All times are displayed in Eastern Standard Time. Please plan accordingly.
