Our June Club Spotlight is The Ohio State University-Main Campus in Columbus!
The OSU club worked all year to keep focus on the importance of service and community even with COVID and all of the campus restrictions. As the year wrapped up, the new officers began planning and looking toward gearing up for the new year!
Numerous officers attended SpOT along with one of their committee members to learn more about their positions and to dive into leading for the year. The photo below is of officers and members of the OSU club taking part in the first of their two-part book club series on Date to Lead by Brene Brown.
The book club series has become a way to help the club have an inclusive focus for their recruitment, retention, and service initiatives in the next year. It also became a way to connect with the OSU Circle K Alumni Society as members of the Alumni Society have joined in on the book club series.
The club was able to purchase the books with a grant they received from OSU, which their club president Vivian applied for. In addition to funding the books, the grant will pay for several of their members to attend the ELC virtually in June. The club officers and members are working to prepare for a fantastic year and working to adapt to the lifting restrictions on campus for this coming year!
