An organization that works to fight premature births. CKI members can help by participating in a March for Babies Walks in the spring or donating funds all year round.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and infant health. The organization was founded in 1938 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, although, it was originally known as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
To help the cause of the March of Dimes, it is important to first educate yourself and then spread the word. Give to the cause monetarily or volunteer at various projects.
Possible projects include: helping in a neonatal intensive care unit, assist in March for Babies walks, and engaging in letter campaigns.
